Q: What can you do for me?
A: Facing relationship breakdown can be a very uncertain and unsettling time. You will be dealing with the emotional issues as well as the questions and concerns about whether it is the right time to separate or divorce, how you will deal with the finances if you separate and the impact on any children involved.
I advise clients in this situation on a day to day basis. Whatever the problem you face, I will help you form a plan to see you through to a positive conclusion.
Q: What makes you different from other divorce lawyers?
A: Recognising that every divorce or separation is unique, with its own problems and difficulties. By working with you to establish your particular needs and priorities I can assist you to find the right approach and achieve the best solutions.
I work with clients to try and resolve matters without using the court process. When this is not possible, I have experience of negotiating settlements for clients and representing them in court.
Q: What do your clients say about you?
A: “I would like to thank you for the way you've handled my case – not only professionally but also extremely sensitively. You've been wonderful, and made the whole horrible process so much easier than it would otherwise have been.”
“I found that your advice was always clear and helpful and you dealt with everything in good time which is much appreciated.”
“Thank you. I mean this sincerely when I say you have made my life and my daughter’s life immeasurably more enjoyable.”
Q: What else should I know about you?
A: I am committed to building strong relationships with clients and supporting them at what is a very difficult time. I am a member of the divorce lawyers’ association Resolution which promotes a non-confrontational approach to the resolution of family problems.
I am the chairman of the Cambridge Free Legal Advice Group, which provides legal advice (in a range of areas of law) to those who cannot afford a solicitor.
