Q: What can you do for me?
A: I am a specialist family lawyer with experience of advising on divorce, complex financial cases involving property, trusts, businesses and family companies, and disputes concerning children.
My approach is flexible and can suit your needs. That can range from supporting you through a difficult process, advising you on a consultancy basis whilst you take control of negotiations, or moving legal matters forward for you both in and outside of the court process.
My aim is to find an approach which works best for you – whatever suits your particular needs.
Q: What makes you different from other divorce lawyers?
A: I provide practical and realistic legal guidance. I will work with you to find the best outcome for your situation.
I am cost conscious and will work with you to keep your legal costs down. If there is something you are able to take care of yourself instead of me, I will say so.
My approach is to find creative and workable solutions to those problems that are most important to my clients. Whilst I have experience of working with high net worth individuals and negotiating settlements, I also provide cost-effective and focused legal advice. I will give you the advice you do not want to hear, if necessary.
I am also a qualified community mediator and volunteer to mediate neighbour disputes in the Cambridge community. My skills as a mediator mean I can be creative in assisting you reach a workable solution.

Q: What else should I know?
A: I am originally from the north east and moved to the south to study at Cambridge University before training with Mills & Reeve in Cambridge. I also spent some time training in our Manchester office. As a result, I have met, worked with and advised people from a whole range of different backgrounds (from across the country as well as internationally), which only adds to what I can offer to others.
I have qualified as a community mediator which makes me a good listener and has provided me with the skills and insight to support you. I also help run the Cambridge Free Legal Advice Group, which offers one-off advice sessions to those who are not able to afford legal advice through the Cambridge Citizens Advice Bureau.
Most importantly, I am a member of Resolution, an organisation of family lawyers committed to dealing with family breakdown amicably. I am the Treasurer of the regional group and an active member of the Cambridge and West Suffolk Resolution Committee, as well as part of the region's Young Resolution group.
