Q: What can you do for me?

Apart from your closest friends, I will probably be the first person you will speak to about your family problems. From the start of our working relationship, we will discuss all of your options and will decide together what the best next step is for you and your family, at a pace that suits you.

As an experienced divorce lawyer, I will be able to inform you about divorce procedure and the financial split of your assets, how to overcome hurdles to see your child on a regular basis or deal with any other family issue that might be keeping you awake at night. If you have a problem that I or my firm cannot help with, I have other trusted professional contacts in the Manchester area who I can refer you to.

Q: What makes you different from other divorce lawyers?

A: You might be interested to know that I recently completed a counselling course in my own time to better understand and cater for my clients’ emotional needs. I always endeavour to maintain a professional but personable relationship with my clients as well as with other lawyers. It is my belief that a poor relationship between lawyers increases the animosity between the parties and contributes to everyone losing sight of the real issues and, ultimately, the best interests of the family.

Q: What do your clients say about you?

A: Clients have recently made the following comments about the standard of service I provide and strive for:

“Excellent quality of correspondence.”
“I can honestly say I don’t think the handling of my divorce could be improved upon in any way.”
“Thank you for getting back to me so quickly. Your advice is extremely valuable to me.”
“You were the first professional to give me any confidence.”
“You have worked very hard, been diligent and got results.”

Q: What involvement do you have in the Manchester community?

A: I sit on Manchester’s Young Resolution committee (the biggest family law association) and am responsible for improving and maintaining the relationship between the North West’s junior family lawyers and barristers. I am a mentor to students at Manchester’s BPP law school. You will also benefit from my knowledge and numerous links with local accountants, financial advisers, banks and other professionals who complement the high quality service I endeavour to provide.

Q: What else should I know about you?

A: Having grown up in Yorkshire, trained in London and now with firm roots in South Manchester, I have a personal history that allows me to understand and appreciate people from all manner of backgrounds.  The quality of work in Manchester, Cheshire and the rest of the North West is diverse and complex and has involved me acting for a range of people from hard working professionals to even more hardworking multimillionaire entrepreneurs! I regularly write practical articles for national journals on a variety of topics, including financial settlements on foreign divorces, tax in divorces and the provision of housing for children.
