Ecological impact of divorce

New research from Michigan State University has shown that divorce is not only bad for you on a personal level but on a global one as well!

It appears that divorced households use more rooms and resources per person than married ones, thereby increasing the consumption of natural resources and use of space. However, second marriages have helped to curb the impact. Indeed, according to the research, if divorced households around the world combined to be the same size as married households, there would be approximately 7.4 million fewer households.
