Pre and Post-marital agreements

Where should I divorce if I have a pre-marital agreement?

This will depend on the terms of the pre-marital agreement and where it was signed. The status of pre-marital agreements under English law is now stronger than it was historically, as set out above. However, if you pre-marital agreement is likely to be treated as binding in another country and the agreement is favourable to you, you may well be advised to commence divorce proceedings in that country rather than England, if at all possible.
