What can you do for me?

Separating from your partner can be a very difficult and stressful time. Taking legal advice might seem like a scary step but it should not be. From the start I will provide you with straightforward and practical advice about your rights and options so you can make informed decisions about your future. I will ensure that matters progress at a pace which suits you.

As well as being experienced in advising on matters arising on divorce, including the impact it will have on your finances, I can also advise on wealth protection issues, cohabitation disputes and ensuring that there is fair division of the children’s time between the two of you.

What makes you different from other divorce lawyers?

I take a sensitive approach to the issues that matter most to you. As a team in Manchester we offer a range of different services from traditional legal advice, to collaborative law and mediation. I will explore with you what approach suits you and your family best and make sure that the service you receive is tailored to you.

I understand you will be concerned about costs. I will always keep you informed and will look at whether a fixed fee service is suitable for you.

What do your clients say about you?

The best feedback is sometimes the simplest – “thank you”. The rewarding part of my job to knowing that I have helped someone and made a difference to their life.

The family team in Manchester is ranked in the top tier in both the leading legal directories – something we are very proud about.

What involvement do you have in the Manchester community?

I am an active member of Resolution (a group of family lawyers committed to resolving matters as amicably as possible) and have joined Manchester’s Young Resolution committee to help promote the relationship between young family lawyers. I strongly believe a good working relationship with other family lawyers helps reduce conflict and promote your client’s interests.

What else should I know about you?

Having grown up in South Yorkshire I moved across the Pennines to train as a solicitor in the biggest legal centre in the North West. I believe the legal community in Manchester provides top quality legal advice and is proof Manchester really is the capital of the North.

I regularly contribute to our blogs and national family law publications and have ventured into the world of twitter – you can follow me at www.twitter.com/rmedrury.
