What can you do for me?

Having practised exclusively in family law since qualification in 2004, I have many years of experience in guiding clients through the legal, practical and emotional issues that arise upon relationship breakdown. I also am able to assist at the outset of relationships: providing advice and preparing pre marital and cohabitation agreements.

I advise people on all areas of family law, including divorce, arrangements for children and financial settlements. I am a firm believer that resolving disputes in as conciliatory a fashion as possible will, in the long term, prove to be the best thing for my clients and their families. I am a trained collaborative lawyer and am therefore able to offer a real alternative to the traditional procedure. However, where necessary I have significant experience in litigating matters through the Courts.

I believe that there is no ‘one size fits all’ approach to family law and will explore all options with you to ensure that a process, and a solution, is found that works best for you, and your family.

What makes you different from other divorce lawyers?

I put my clients at the centre of everything I do. I will keep you fully informed of progress on your case, be transparent in relation to the costs involved and clear with regards your options. I am always conscious of the wider situation and emotional dynamics that are inevitably in the background when trying to deal with the legal consequences of relationship breakdown and will work with you to find the best way of supporting you through the situation and achieving the outcomes – both in the short and longer term – that you are seeking.

What do your clients say about you?

My clients praise me for my clear advice, attention to detail and responsiveness. I was delighted that one of the leading legal directories quote a source as saying “has a very personable manner, can provide difficult advice when needed, and prepares matters meticulously” (Legal 500, 2017). I am proud to have been ranked in both Legal 500 and Chambers UK since 2013, most recently described as a "solution orientated" and "very understanding" by Chambers UK 2018.

What involvement do you have in the local Norwich community?

I grew up in Norwich and trained, and qualified, in Mills & Reeve’s Norwich office. After ten years away, working in Yorkshire, I was delighted to return to my roots in early 2016 and re-join the Norwich based family law team.

What else should I know about you?

I am a regular contributor to a variety of legal publications and an active member of Resolution. I sit on both the local Resolution committee and the national Litigants in Person Working Party.
