Mediation with lawyers

What is lawyer assisted mediation?

Lawyer assisted mediation is different to the usual form of mediation in family cases. Instead of having a single mediator (or two mediators) to help you and your spouse or partner, lawyer assisted mediation means that you both have your lawyers present.

Because the lawyers are there, it will be more expensive, but it can be useful if you feel nervous about negotiating or discussing issues. It is also useful if there are difficult legal issues to be resolved.
