Sarah Hunter

What can I help you with?

A former civil litigator, my role is now to guide, advise and support clients through their family disputes at the end of a cohabiting relationship, a marriage or in relation to children. The family context can create extra stress and I aim to avoid unnecessary, and expensive, contention while still representing my clients with tenacity.

Example(s) of some recent work

I recently helped a client to resolve a property and business-related dispute arising from the breakdown of a cohabiting relationship through an all-day mediation, enabling them to move on with their life.

Another matter involving an unmarried couple concerned children, as well as the former family home, and the provision which both parents should make for a child’s needs under Schedule 1 Children Act 1989. It was settled by negotiation.

What do others say about me?

I am proud to have been described as accessible and sympathetic.

What else should you know?

I have an interest in safeguarding issues.
